HLHOA represents the interest of the homeowners at the lake. All homeowners are encouraged to participate in this organization. Anyone who resides here, or who has obtained a building permit is eligible for membership. Two adults from each residence may be voting members after joining HLHOA. Annual dues are nominal. The HLHOA has helped to unite our community by improving communication, both within and between subdivisions. HLHOA was designed so that each subdivision has their own representative to the general council. Individual areas, as well as the HLHOA as a whole, sponsor meetings and social events, and work on local projects. In the past, topics of discussion at meetings have included Siltation, rip-rapping, dredging, clubhouse additions and fire protection. They also sponsored meetings of general interest. The continuation of this association is dependent upon new volunteers.
